Hot and steamy weather continued over the west this past week. February 11th and 12th had an active South Pacific Convergence Zone (SPCZ) over the waters to our South which resulted in heavy falls being squally at times. Afternoon thundery showers were evident earlier this week. Nacocolevu reported an impressive weekly accumulation of 143mm while the highest 24 hour accumulation was 106mm for Lautoka on 11th February.
Mostly fine and sunny this weekend, with no sign of any major weather systems on the horizon.
