The predominant feature was the band of cloud associated with a developing Low Pressure which moved over Fiji. As the system was slow moving it stayed over Fiji from 16 to 18th May, resulting in the accumulations in the excess of 70 mm in majority places while some recorded over 100 mm. Sunny weather prevailed this week with very isolated afternoon showers in the interior.
Weekend is expected to be fine and mostly sunny apart for some odd showers in the afternoon. Mild during the day and cool at night with moderate southerly winds and fresh afternoon sea breezes.
Little change to this weather pattern tomorrow and over the coming weekend with mostly fine and sunny weather apart from the odd shower in the maritime regions. No sign of any significant weather systems affecting Fiji at this time.
