A warm and humid weather prevailed over the west the past week. The predominant feature was a cloud band associated with a SPCZ which resulted in thundery showers as it slowly moved south over the weekend.
Monasavu reported a weekly accumulation of 105mm. The highest 24 hour accumulation was 45mm for Lautoka on 4th January.
Generally a fine weekend apart from the rising humidity and temperature which will make it more hot and steamy. No sign of any significant rain bearing weather systems affecting the west of Fiji at this time.
