Ms Bedh Wati of Suva is the first winner of $1,000 cash prize in the Vodafone E-ticketing Tap and Win promotion. An elated Mrs. Wati said,” I first thought that someone was playing prank on me when I received the call that I had won $1000 cash. Now, that I have received the money I am overjoyed and thank Vodafone for this win. I have retired and winning $1000 cash will help in our daily expenses. “The win has come as a blessing in disguise as I have to nurse my sick mother and my sister is also unwell. I will use the money to care for my loved ones”.
Mrs Wati said she started using the e-ticketing card from the time she purchased it. I always travel in buses and I find using the e-card easy and convenient. After I top up my card, I do not have to worry about looking for change every time I need to travel. This is a great technology and is also good for passengers because paying with the card means that every time I tap my card, it is recorded in the system and if I face any issues with any driver, such as overcharging, I can complain to the authorities and the system will be able to provide the correct information. This has surely made my life easier”, said the retired teacher.

The e-ticketing promotion allows the e-ticketing card holders to tap and get into the draw to win $30,000 cash, $20,000 worth of e-ticketing top up and $50,000 free talktime. There are more than 180 daily winners. Card holders just have to pay their bus fares using the e-ticketing card to get into the draw. There are no additional fee and charges. A person can win more than once and the more times you tap your card to pay your bus fare, the more entries you get into the draw to win.
