Vodafone Fiji is proud to be a sponsor for Team Fiji’s ‘Partner for Gold Project’ initiative. Fiji Taekwondo team’s manager Neelu Nand said that “Vodafone’s timely sponsorship has further boosted the team’s morale towards the South Pacific Mini Games”.
The sponsorship will assist Team Fiji in gearing for the South Pacific Mini Games which will be held in Wallis and Futuna in September Fiji Taekwondo team will be represented by a female and three male athletes and will be coached by Master Ra.
At the presentation yesterday in Civic Centre , the management team from Vodafone were priviliged to a live demonstration by the training squad showing their attacking art and defensive skills as they prepare well for the Mini Games.
Mr. Nand added “We anticipate to get more medals this year and better our performance than in Noumea last year where the team won a silver and bronze medal in the Pacific Games. We encourage our youths to engage in the sport, to not only take part in it at a professional level but also to fit in their exercise routine to keep in shape”.
Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer,Mr. Sanjeewa Perera said that “we have in the past and will continue to support such initiatives for our youths to be the best in their chosen field and showcase our local talents further”. Vodafone Fiji takes this opportunity to wish all the participants of this year’s South Pacific Mini Games the best.
