Sunday 11 May – In the spirit of Mother’s Day, members of the Vinod Patel family visited the Senior Citizens’ Home in Samabula yesterday to provide groceries and spend time with the Senior Citizens.
Organiser Zaheer Hassan stated, “Undertaking such a community project is nothing new for Vinod Patel. We take our social obligations seriously and as such, we have been doing similar community projects for some time now. We at Vinod Patel feel that it is essential to give back to the community and we are taking steps to ensure that we are able to reach out to our communities and serve their needs as best as we can”.
He added that the project was one of their many community initiatives planned for the year and it was a pleasure to partner with the Senior Citizen’s Home.
“Mother’s Day is a time for sharing love and spending it with our beloved mothers and we are glad that our team was able to come out in numbers and do just that.”
“As responsible corporate citizens, we deem it critical that we show goodwill and companionship to our senior citizens through initiatives such as this one.”
Mr. Hassan said that is was a very fulfilling day for the Vinod Patel team and that they were touched by the warm welcome during the visit.
