The trial date for a teenager, charged with one count of murder, one count of aggravated robbery, one count of theft and driving without a valid driving licence, will be fixed next month.
Avneil Dilesh Mani of Lomawai, Sigatoka, appeared yesterday before High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Goundar at the High Court in Lautoka.
Mani was further remanded and will appear in the High Court in Lautoka on November 18, 2019. Justice Goundar said the accused would appear on the next date for mention to fix a trial date.
The 18-year-old is alleged to have murdered 57-year- old Pushpa Chandra of Simla, Lautoka, between February 8 and February 9 this year.
The accused chose to represent himself while Semi Babitu represented the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
