Tourism Fiji is leading a tourism roadshow in the United States of America as part of their branding campaign to promote Fiji.
The roadshow will stretch across 13 cities not only in the west coast but also the east coast covering Chicago, Washington and other cities apart from Los Angeles, San Francisco.
Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Rick Hamilton pointed out that this exercise has the potential to boost visitor arrivals from North America.
“We are currently having a road show in USA that began last week and will run across the States covering 13 cities,” he said.
“This is the first time we are having a road show of this magnitude in the States.”
He said that Tourism Fiji is also looking at continuing its road shows in Fiji’s traditional tourist markets to continue to attract visitors here.
“Australia and New Zealand are very important to us and we will have road shows there too including Hong Kong and China which we have seen an increase in tourists from that part of the world,” Mr Hamilton added.
“We are currently working to establish a team in Hong Kong and China to be able to counter the increasing tourists that are outbound from China”.
