Indian movie ‘Darpok’ has been selected for Cannes Film festival in short films category. The 22 minutes movie is about a 28 years old young man, who is living under trauma for not able to prevent the rape of his mother when he was a 14 years old.
Vijay Singh Phoolka is the producer of the movie and the movie is written & directed by Rakesh Mehta.
Vijay Singh has also produced T.V.serials like Hindustani Junoon and Sanjivani & his new serial ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ is on air on Star plus.
“The subject of the story was really good and it is a touching story. We plan to make it a fully fledged feature film. I am quite pleased that the movie has been selected for Cannes,” Says Vijay Singh Phoolka.
Gautam Gulati, the lead of the movie, is currently seen as Vikram in serial ‘Diya Aur Baati.’ He has worked for Balaji’s for 4 years. He was also seen in an international movie ‘Siddhartha the Buddha.” “I am thrilled to be at Cannes,” says Gautam Gulati.
Speaking about his future plan’s Gautam Gulati said “I want to be perfect in acting, so I began working in serials. I learnt camera angles, scenes, dialogue, lights and other skills. I learnt dance with Shiamak Davar for two years.
I want now work in big movies and you will soon see me in a major feature film. ”
