Swamy Vivekananda College was the ‘toast of the night’ as they won the Tadra Kahani with connect at the Vodafone Arena in Suva last night, August 14.
The Nadi based school put up a grand performance based on the theme climate change through music, dance and art in front of hundreds of audience present at the annual event organised by Total Events Company in collaboration with Communications Fiji Limited.
College Assistant Principal, Geeta Krishna was confident for the team SVC to win as they had a full support from the school.
“We had full determination and support from the whole school and whatever we have sacrificed up till now, we will win and we were successful.
“We were the first Rock Challenge winners and after a long time we decided to participate and I think our sacrifices were paid off.”
Ten schools that took part were last years’ winner Cathedral Secondary School, Lomary Secondary School, LDS Church College, Gospel High School, Sigatoka Methodist College, Ballantine Memorial School, Gau Secondary School, Ba Methodist High School, Swami Vivekananda College and Blue Light Fiji.
Meanwhile, LDS Church College grabbed the best choreography, best soundtrack, best lighting and the special concepts awards while Gospel High School won the best audience response award.
