Fiji March 17, 2013 – Experienced accommodation industry specialist Alexandra Ridgway has joined the Sofitel Luxury Hotels group, having recently been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for the brand’s flagship property in Fiji, the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa.
Alexandra (who commenced her management career with Sofitel’s parent company Accor in 1999 as a Key Account Manager in Accor’s Corporate office in Melbourne) was most recently with the Fraser Suites in Sydney.
She spent four years with Fraser Suites working across various roles including Director of Sales & Marketing and later as Acting General Manager.

Previously Alexandra’s career saw her work with several other five-star international hotels and groups, including Marriott International (Sydney Head Office) as a Senior Manager in cluster sales, the StamfordPlazaHotelSydney as Associate Director of Sales and later Director of Sales and Marketing. She also worked with the A.N.A Hotel (now the Shangri-La Sydney) as Associate Director of Sales.
Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa General Manager Adam Laker says he hopes Alexandra’s broad experience across the hospitality, tourism and business events industries will assist in launching a fresh new era for the resort’s established sales and marketing team.
