An 18 year old adolescent was pronounced dead on arrival at the Sigatoka Hospital after receiving head injuries following an accident on Malevu Road, Sigatoka on Saturday March, 22 at around 3pm.
The accident had occurred after a 57 year old man who had been driving the vehicle at the time veered off the road and collided with an oncoming vehicle while travelling towards Sigatoka Town.
Police say that minor injuries were sustained by the other three passengers who were travelling with the deceased while the driver of the vehicle remains in custody at the Sigatoka Police Station.
