Vatuwaqa murder
The investigation into the alleged murder of a couple in Vatuwaqa continues. The bodies of the 32year old couple are now at the CWM Mortuary awaiting post mortem. The two were found lying in a pool of blood in their flat. They were reported missing after they both failed to turn up to work at their respective work places. The case is being treated as an alleged murder suicide and more details will be released following the post mortem examination.
Alleged rape
A class 8 student of Tavua is expected to be brought in for questioning for the alleged rape of a class 2 student in a school compound sometimes between 17/06/13 – 21/06/13. The matter was reported to Police by the victim’s mother after she started to experience body pains. The suspect is alleged to have committed the act during recess at a Primary school. Investigations continue.
