PM RECEIVES HONG KONG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

CAPTION: The Chamber of Commerce with the Ministry of Defence prior to their meeting with the PM. 

The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today received senior members of the Fiji Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

The head of government joined the 7-member delegation to look at ways of boosting trade and economic relations between Fiji and Hong Kong.

Chairperson for the delegation, Ms Amy Kwan said the visit by provides an insight for them to look at the various opportunities that exist through investing and trading in Fiji.

“A majority of the chamber members have not been to Fiji so this is an opportunity to look at investment prospects and opportunities in Fiji. We were also able to pay courtesy calls to different Ministries”, Ms Kwan said.

The delegation met with senior government officials including His Excellency the President, the Minister for Defence, the Minister for Primary Industries, the Attorney General as well as officials at Investment Fiji.

Fiji’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Esala Teleni and Fiji’s Honorary Consul in Hong Kong Mr Desmond Yee accompanied the delegation at their meeting with the PM.
