Former Fiji 7s winger Waisea Nayacalevu has confirmed that he won’t be available for the Uprising International 7s tournament that was recently sanctioned by the Fiji Rugby Union.

The 22 years old, who now plays for Stade francais in France, broke his right ankle during a match against Toulon, few days before the Europe tour last year.

“I’m sorry to say that I’m not coming because I’m injured and on rehab here, which is going to be for one month long and I’ll be good to start playing in mid February.”

“I will try my very best to come for the trials for the world cup,” Nayacalevu said.

The tournament will be held at Lautoka’s Churchill Park from 18 to 19 January 2013 and will feature sixteen top local and overseas teams.
