Frequent flooding in Nadi will no longer be a problem after the Ministry of Local Government donated a cheque of two hundred thousand dollars to the Nadi Town Council this evening.
Minister for Local Government, Urban Development, Housing & Environment Colonel Samuela Saumatua said they are ready to take actions and make changes to the town.
“We cannot afford now to stand by, wait and just talk about this. My ministry is a people oriented and driven organization, hence all services and deliverable are targeted at improving and services our nation and our multi ethic communities,” he said.
Nadi Township’s estimation is the project will cost up to $355,000. A partnership between the ministry, Township, Fiji Roads Authority will enable us to complete this project before the end of the first quarter of this year.
