Grammy award-winning pop singer Lorde is not afraid of her flaws.
The 17-year-old New Zealand native tweeted over the weekend a photo snapped during her recent concert in Chile, one version retouched, showing her with smooth, picture-perfect skin, and the other as a natural beauty, exposing bumps, acne and all.
“i find this curious,” Lorde tweeted on March 30 to her more than 1.3 million followers, “two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok :-)”
“Lorde took to social media to make sure her fans know that it’s OK to embrace those flaws and imperfections and that those are a thing that everyone deals with,” People magazine reporter, Patrick Gomez, told ABC News.

Lorde is hardly the first celebrity to show outrage over a Photoshopped image.
Actress Keira Knightly protested a 2007 publicity photo for “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” that boosted her bust.
And Kate Winslet criticized a 2003 British GQ magazine cover saying it overly slimmed her thighs.
And Lorde has gone even further posting a not-so-glamorous photo on Instagram with acne cream all over face, which seemingly struck a chord garnering more than 119,000 likes.
“Teenagers are definitely more prone to acne than the rest of the population,” said dermatologist Dr. Lisa Chipps. “Most of that has to do with hormonal changes.”
Lorde is acting as a reminder that, yes, flaws are OK, and even she, a mega-star who seems to have it all, is, after all, still just a regular teenager.
