Labasa 0 – 0 Rewa
After an impressive outing in their last pool playoffs and kicking out the delta Tigers Frotec Rewa out of contention at this year’s IDC tournament this afternoon, Dalip Chand Busses Labasa are the first team to qualify for the 2013 Courts IDC semi-finals.
Labasa has secured their place in tomorrow’s semi-finals after a nil all draw with the Rewa side.
Yet a tough backstroke for the northerners as Coach player Pita Bolaitoga would not be featuring in tomorrow’s semi-final against the as he has acquired two yellow cards in earlier of the two matches.
Nadroga 1 – 1 Navua
Second match of the day sawCoastal Rentals/Nokia Nadroga taking on southerners Navua with a lot of controversy and action by the players to watch for the fans, as the match ended in a 1-all draw making Nadroga the second team to bow out of this year’s IDC.
Navua being awarded two red cards in the match and played nine men down against Nadroga with Navua’s Monit Chand and Seveci Rokotakala had been given the marching orders for foul on Nadroga players Shivneel Sharma and Peni Finau.
Nadi 1- 0 Suva
The third match of the day saw Nadi playing defending champions Suva which came to be a cracker of a match as Nadi’s top striker and goal scoring machine Rusiate Matarerega scored the fastest goal of the tournament measured to be in seconds.
The Jacks Nadi side came in firing like a Jet on full throttle with cheering fans all over the grandstand and embankment area while Suva trying their very best to break the Nadi defense yet failing ending the match in Nadi’s favor by 1 goal to nil and making Nadi the winners of Pool B and Suva the runner-ups.
Lautoka 0 – 2 Ba
The final pool playoff match for 2013 IDC saw hosts Design Engineering Lautoka playing 4R Electric Ba in a not much applauding of a match for the Lautoka fans as the blues side being final in the list to say farewell to this tournament.
Ba’s goal came into the second spell of the match through the boots of tall striker Osea Vakatalesau and by Avinesh Waran Swamy nailing the final pin on the coffin ending the match with a full time score Ba 2 and Lautoka nil.
Meanwhile tomorrow’s semi-finals would see would see 4R Electric Ba playing defending Champions Finance Pacific Suva at 9.00am while Jacks Nadi will take on Dalip Chand Busses Labasa at 10.15am in the second semi-final for the Super Premier Division.
Primary Schools finals will be played between Labasa Primary and Ba Primary followed by Secondary Schools finals which will be played against Saraswati College of Waila, Nausori and Drasa Secondary of Lautoka on Sunday at 2.15pm.
At 1.30pm the 2013 Courts IDC Premier finals would take place between Dreketi and Taveuni followed by the grand final for the Super Premier Division set to kick off at 3pm.
