Investment Fiji has been awarded as the best exhibitor at the China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair, which was hosted by the China State Forestry Administration and Zhenjiang Provincial People’s Government. Yiwu International Product Fair is a green, low-carbon and environmental-protection fair. It is famous for its international level, strong information function and complete service system.
Fiji was in competition with countries like Canada, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Africa, Kenya, Thailand, Mongolia, Australia and Vietnam. Fiji displayed a wide range of forestry based products and has been awarded with the “Best Exhibitor Certificate”. Investment Fiji was complimented by representation from the Department of Forestry, Fiji Pine Group of Companies Fulluck Trade & Tour Company and the Fiji Embassy Beijing Officials in China, at the four day exhibition.
Investment Fiji, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ravuni Uluilakeba stated that, “This recognition has come as a surprise, with a positive notion signifying that such award suggests that Fiji is well noticed at International platforms. I take this opportunity to convey our gratitude to the Government of Fiji and the Private Sector players that supported our participation. He further added on to say that, “Though there are many challenges faced by the forestry sector in Fiji, the sector continues to contribute meaningfully to poverty eradication, job creation, rural development and economic value-adding activities in the country”.
Investment Fiji once again will continue with its proactive measures to ensure that Fiji is noticed in the international arena.
