‘Home Garden & Backyard Farming – Food for All’
The Fiji National University’s International Food Festival is set to cook up a culinary treat for the
second year in a row.
The festival is set to kick off from 10th-17th with a fantastic week of food and drink themed events and
restaurant promotions held at the FNU Campus in Namaka.
The official opening begins on October 10th celebrating Fiji’s Independence Day and will showcase the
excellent food and drink centred around Fiji’s history and past traditions.
Entry is free as the festival allows you to come through the gate, browse through the food booth arena and purchase at your whim whatever takes your fancy.
The event will feature cooking demonstrations from local celebrity chefs and will serve up tastes
from countries around the globe.
This includes cuisines from India, Japan, Korea, United States, China, Nepal, Mexico, Thailand, Italy, England, and Africa and of course tastes from Fiji and our own Pacific Islands countries.
There will be stalls selling delicious local and international cuisines, live music and the hotly anticipated
lovo making competition, setting the stage for a great week of food-filled activities.
Apart from the food booths, arts and craft, cooking demonstrations and competitions are included in the program for the week.
