The Health Ministry has deployed the mobile Non Communicable Disease (NCD) Bus to Navua today to enhance health services.
This is after a directive from Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma due to Navua hospital’s closure after last night’s flooding.
The NCD mobile bus contains consumables, medicinal supplies and personnel that will assist and provide relief health services to Navua residents.
The mobile NCD bus will remain till Navua Hospital resumes its normal operations.
Dr Sharma also visited Navua hospital today to assess the situation, meet with Navua hospital staff, and check up on patients and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, health services for emergency cases have been shifted Ro Matanitabua House for those requiring medical assistance.
Today, Navua hospital staff with the assistance of National Fire Authority utilized the good weather to clean up the premises and normal operations expected soon.
