Fiji, June 24 2013 – a total of 70 Ambassadors from Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa who recently completed the Ambassador Accreditation Program were honoured to receive their accreditation certificates from H. E. the President of the Republic of Fiji and Madam First Lady.
The two year Ambassador Program, officially launched in June 2011 to Sofitel’s 27,000 employees around the world, is designed to attract and retain talent and to provide opportunities for career advancement thanks to specialised training.
His Excellency thanked Sofitel “for going the extra mile to train and build the capacity of staff that operate in the front-line of Fiji’s tourism industry”. His Excellency went on to say the accredited Ambassadors can make a huge difference in terms of attracting more visitors and in terms of giving Fiji an excellent welcome and caring reputation.
The program, now in its third year, is an original 3-step training program designed by an international team of Sofitel training experts, has three components: Be Yourself, Be Ready and Be Magnifique.
“A total of 135 Ambassadors from Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa have been accredited to-date, all of whom should feel extremely proud to have achieved this tremendous milestone in their Magnifique journey”, said Simon Jinks, General Manager Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa. Jinks made special mention and thanks to the Resort’s Human Resources team for their ongoing commitment to the success of the program.
