Fiji Sugar Corporation has now taken an initiative to work closely with the cane farmers, in ensuring better cane access roads.
FSC Executive Chairman, Abdul Khan said they have now identified that the cane access roads are accessed by public too.
“In terms of cane access roads, we have now identified these since a number of roads that were called cane access roads are actual major roads used by the local community,” he said.
Khan also said they are going to work together with the farmers.
“We now will work with the farmers to ensure that these roads are properly maintained and ready for the coming season,” he said.
There has been no confirmation yet on which road Contractor Company will work on repairing the cane access roads.
