Only two more days are left for international buyers and local exhibitors to register and be part of Fiji’s premier tourism industry event – the Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) 2015 – as registrations close this Friday, 1 May.
An estimated 272 participants have registered as exhibitors, while the number of buyers sits at 107. Tourism Fiji’s Director of Events, Ms Sally Cooper says “we expect to see some growth in numbers when the registrations close on Friday.
“We currently have 110 booths for FTE and we want to encourageinterested buyers and exhibitors to register to avoid any disappointments from missing out of this years’ event,” Ms Cooper says.
Australians, with a total of 47, make up almost half of the registered buyers to date, followed by the USA (17), New Zealand (16), India (8), Fiji (7), European Union (4), China &the UK (3 each), Canada & South Korea (2 each), and Pakistan & Switzerland (1 each).
Tourism Fiji, as hosts of FTE, is collaborating with various key industry partners to deliver a successful event.
So far, FTE 2015 has attracted the following partners; Fiji Airways, Fiji Coffee, Law Hill, Westpac, Marsh Insurance, Rosie Holidays, ATS Pacific and Tourist Tours Fiji (TTF), Pacific Destinations, Tour Managers, Starwood Resorts, Staging Connections, Avis Car Rentals, Victoria Wines, Sofitel Fiji, Fiji Fashion Week, Denarau Yacht Club, Radisson Blu Resort, Fiji Water.
“We’re also thrilled to announce that the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade will once again be sponsoring a Fijian Made and Fijian Crafted village to exhibit and sell a range of high quality certified Fijian product at the expo,” Ms Cooper adds.
