Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this week met with senior management officials of Air France airlines and Air France Industries KLM.
The Prime Minister was received by Air France Industries chief executive officer, Frank Turner and Air France Board Chairman, Alexande Juniac.
The head of government also witnessed a memorandum of agreement signing between Air Pacific and AFI KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E & M).
Air France Industries KLM Group, a subsidiary of Air France Airlines has been contracted to provide support for Air Pacific’s incoming A330-200 fleet.
AFI KLM E & M is a leader in the maintenance of A330/A340 which relies on an extensive network and several logistics around the world.
PM Bainimarama also visited Air France’s facilities including their A380 international Hanger and was accompanied by Air Pacific Board Chairman, Nalin Patel, Air Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Dave Pflieger and Permanent Secretary for Tourism, Elizabeth Powell. Fiji’s Ambassador to the European Union Peceli Vocea and his Counsellor at the mission Mr Nirmal Singh has also been accompanying the Prime Minister’s entourage in France.
