His Excellency the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, continues with his visit today to schools in the Northern Division.
This week the President visited Bua Central College where he spoke on the importance of understanding the dangers of HIV/AIDs. During his talks with students, teachers and parents,
The Head of State used the opportunity to speak directly with parents to remind them of their responsibility in teaching their children about HIV/AIDS. He added that while teachers are also there to assist in the teaching process, learning about HIV/AIDS is a process that requires a collective effort by all relevant parties.
The President said each Fijian child needed to understand the physical and psychological dangers of HIV/AIDS.
“I strongly believe we can eradicate HIV/AIDs provided we must all work together; students, teachers and parents and all the organisations”.
His Excellency also visited Solevu Secondary School and Ratu Luke Secondary in Bua.
