The Vodafone Fiji Under-19 side beat Waitakere City 2-0 to claim their second victory in their overall seven match tour of New Zealand.
Rewa striker Iosefo Verevou was at his best scoring a brace of goals.
National coaching director Juan Carlos Buzzetti says the team management is pleased with their progress in the tour.
“The team played well, with a strong defense, a solid midfield and a striking line that created lot of chances upfront. Everybody is fine but some players are sore on the calf and foot as we training and playing in artificial turf and natural grass,” Buzzetti said.
“In general it was a solid team performance that pleased the coaching staff,” he added.
Earlier in their first match, the Fiji U19 side defeated NZ selection Youth side 1-0.
The Fiji Under-19 side plays Metro side in their next match tomorrow at 7pm.
