Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) will like to inform all media that in the best interest of the game of football, for the benefit of all member associations and its current sponsors Fiji FA has decided that the Ba Football Association is not permitted to use Digicel as a naming right sponsor for the district during the Oceania Champions League.
This decision has been made after careful deliberation and obtaining legal opinions to avoid any potential legal action or any disruption to football tournaments.
Fiji FA therefore advises and at the same time puts on notice to all media outlets in Fiji to refrain from referring to the Ba Football Association soccer team as Digicel Ba during the Oceania Champions League and to immediately cease using any pictures or images including pictures from its library which bear Digicel logo or any Digicel branding for any media stories, news item or advertising material.
If there is failure to comply with this after this notice has been served to the media, Fiji FA may seek appropriate legal remedy and redress including but not limited to preventing that media outlet from covering future Fiji FA sanctioned events and tournaments.
