Last night saw the end of the second week of the four week long Fiji Badminton Business House Tournament. Spectacular performances from all four teams (FMF, Sun Insurance, Fiji Sun, Unitex FASANOC) were witnessed at the Yat Sen Hall yesterday as the teams battled out their second round in this tournament.
At the end of the night, FMF managed to bag its second victory after a tiring 13 matches against Sun Insurance (9- 4). FMF had also won their matchup against Fiji Sun the week before (11-2).
Unitex FASANOC secured their second victory against Fiji Sun (10-3) after narrowly beating Sun Insurance the previous week (7-6).
Next week will see an interesting match up between FMF fare against Unitex FASANOC and Fiji Sun battling it out against Sun Insurance.
Fiji Badminton Association Secretary, Norman Bentey, said the Association is very excited with the large turnout of players these past 2 weeks.
Badminton in Fiji is still a minority sport, but with events such as these, FBA is looking to boost the popularity of the sport as well as promote fitness, teamwork and healthier living in Fiji.
