An early morning accident has claimed the life of a 25 year old driver of Nadi.
The unfortunate incident occurred after midnight at Nadovi junction, Queens Road.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the deceased was on his way home when he allegedly lost control of his vehicle resulting it to veer off the road.
He sustained serious injuries which resulted in his death at the scene of the accident.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.
Naisoro also said the road death toll currently stands at 2 compared to 0 for the same period last year.
Police are pleading with drivers to be careful while out on our roads and if at any point they do feel fatigued, then it is advisable to pull over to the side of the road and rest.
