Digicel Fiji has announced that as part of its extensive FJ$70m network upgrade, Ba switches on to 3G+
Monday 11th August 2014 – Digicel Fiji is pleased to announce that its continuing rollout of 3G+ in Fiji is progressing according to plan. This has seen the new 3G+ network introduced in the wider Ba area. This move is part of Digicel Fiji’s huge FJ$70million investment announced last month.
Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Darren McLean said, “This is a major step for Digicel and highlights our ongoing commitment to Ba, which is a unique town. The success of last week’s Ba Riverside Platinum Carnival and the support we received from the citizens of Ba was incredible. I think we timed our network upgrade perfectly with Ba switching on to 3G+ last Saturday, the crowning night of the carnival.”
It is great that Ba, which has a strong farming background and the home of some large corporate and manufacturing greats of this country, has access to 3G+ services.
“Digicel will announce further enhancements to its network upgrade in the future. Our new superfast network will enhance the way people communicate in Ba with the rest of the country. This new investment in Ba will also provide cutting edge solutions for our corporate customers.” McLean said.
