Digicel Fiji has announced Lau Islands, Beqa Island and Savusavu are now on its new 3G+ Network
Thursday 4th September 2014 – Digicel Fiji is proud to announce that the new 3G+ network introduced in Lau Islands, Beqa Island and Savusavu. This move is part of Digicel Fiji’s huge FJ$70million investment announced last month.
In the Lau archipelago, Lakeba, Lomaloma, Cicia and Mago Islands are now on the Digicel 3G+ service.
Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Darren McLean said, “The 3G+ roll-out in Lau Islands is of significant value for our customers. The government stations, the hospital, post office and the police post based in Lomaloma in VanuaBalavu will now have superior internet speeds to help them with their day-to-day business.”
“This highlights our ongoing commitment to the Lau Islands. Our customer needs are our focus and we are now able to provide a better mobile internet experience for our outer island customers.”

Beqa Island is also on 3G+ network from today. The Island is expected to boost its tourism coffers as they will now be able to offer tourists with a better, faster and reliable internet experience on the four resorts in Beqa.
The central business district of Savusavu is also on 3G+ following the introduction of the service in Labasa and Taveuni last week.
DIGICEL FIJI
