Day two of the Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange, and guests were given a spectacular performance by the Oceania Dance Theatre ( ODT) and Pasifika Voices.
The event hosted by Rosie Holidays Fiji was staged at InterContinental Fiji’s Meke Lawn, overlooking Natadola Bay.
Dancers wowed BFTE delegates with a fusion of dances including Samoan, Fijian, and contemporary styles.
“The performances today were a reflection of the Pacific countries attending BFTE this year, and were used as the inspiration behind the choreography and music,” explained Igelese Ete.
Ete is the Head of Performing Arts at the University of the South Pacific, and Director of ODT and Pasifika Voices.
The event will conclude tonight, with the theme ‘Gateway to the Pacific’. Guests will arrive dressed to represent any gateway country within the region.
InterContinental Fiji is hosting the BFTE for the first time. Delegates have spent the past two days familiarizing themselves with the tourism industry in the South Pacific region, networking, and cementing business relationships.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa provides guests with an outer Island experience on the mainland. Located 45 minutes from Nadi International Airport.
