Fiji’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ratu Inoke Kubuabola met with his Australian counterpart, Hon Julie Bishop, in Sydney this morning.
Discussions between the two Ministers centred around bilateral relations between Fiji and Australia and resonated with the firm commitment from Australia for the normalisation of bilateral relations at the earliest possible opportunity.
Both Ministers looked forward to continuing dialogue in areas of mutual cooperation, which were initially discussed at their meeting in New York in the margins of the UNGA last month.
Fiji’s Foreign Minister arrived in Sydney enroute from the PALM 6 Interim Ministerial Review Meeting in Japan.
