Twenty staff of the Outrigger on the Lagoon · Fiji have passed their first aid course with the St. John Association of Fiji.
The staff attended the first aid course for 2 days in February and were taught and examined on CPR, bleeding management and fractures.
Outrigger on the Lagoon · Fiji General Manager Peter Hopgood stated that he was very happy with the achievements of his staff. “Our staff continue to amaze me with their dedication to any learning experience afforded to them. This 100 percent pass is an excellent example of the attitude our staff have towards their personal development which in turn helps them become better at their jobs which means for us happy guests.”
“Having first aid knowledge on the job when dealing with tourists is an important tool of our trade and the resort is ensuring that our staff attain the necessary training”, Mr Hopgood added.
Aseri Takala, a Talai Butler in our premium butler service said the course was exciting. “What I previously didn’t know about first aid I was taught during the course. In my job as a butler I am in contact with the guests a lot and incase of accidents or emergencies I will be able to assist our guests immediately before they are referred to our qualified medical personal.”
