Kolinisau saves the day, Fiji retains Hong Kong 7s title

Osea Kolinisau is the hero of Fiji’s win against Wales in the Hong Kong Cup final after he scored three tries in the second half, 26-19.

Fiji now have won their Hong Kong 7s 14th title after making one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the tournament.

Wales had led halftime, 19-0.

Fiji bounced back with superb performance from Kolinisau scoring two consecutive tries in the second half, before Viriviri scored a try at the corner.

Kolinisau scored his last try of the match to seal the win.

Kolinisau was relegated to the bench by Coach Alifereti Dere after he copped two yellow cards in the tournament.

In other finals, France won the Shield final after beating Argentina, 19-14. England won the bowl final, after thrashing hosts, Hong Kong, 42-7. Samoa won the Plate Final, after defeating Canada, 12-7.

New Zealand secured themselves the third place of the Hong Kong 7s after defeating Kenya, 36-5.
