Three South African prominent dive companies will be represented in the upcoming Fiji Dive Fiesta next month.
Fiji’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr Beniamino Salacakau said that the three companies approached the mission to be part of the program following an awareness campaign by Fiji’s foreign mission.
The three gentlemen who will be coming are Mr Glickman of Liquid Travel, Mr Metcalf, Director of African Diver Magazine and Sandton Scuba and Mr Berrange, Operations Manager of Sandton Scuba Travel.
High Commissioner Salacakau highlighted that this development demonstrates the success behind various shows and fairs conducted by the Fiji mission last year.
“The mission is very excited that their efforts to promote Fiji in South Africa is showing the first signs of success”.
“We have always believed that promotion precedes arrivals. Word of mouth is still the most powerful advertisement”.
“The mission is certain that these companies’ experience in Fiji will be shared amongst people back here in South Africa.
“With the arrival of our new plane this is a timely beginning from the beyond market and raises much hope for the future.
Meanwhile, the three representatives will be blogging daily on three different sites about their experiences while here in Fiji.
There will also be a full report in an international dive magazine in July.
The mission is grateful to Tupou Moeofo of Tourism Fiji who assisted in securing travel and accommodation arrangements.
