PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has commended military personnel currently undertaking works in the Northern Division.
At a medal parade held at the Sukanaivalu Barracks in Vaturekuka, Labasa, the head of Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) commended the military personnel for their hard work and emphasised the need to work in partnership with stakeholders and local communities.
Pointing out the recent road works in the Northern Division, the Prime Minister said ordinary Fijians will benefit from this new road.
The Prime Minister is in the North touring Government and military projects and will be travelling to Rabi later today.
Later this week he will commission the Dreketi-Nabouwalu highway.
Prime Minister Bainimarama is accompanied by senior Government officials including Minister for Agriculture Lieutenant Colonel Inia Seruiratu, Fiji Correction Services Commissioner, Colonel Iferemi Vasu and Commissioner Northern Ilai Moceica and other district officials.
