May 22, 2015.The 2015 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Contestants launch will be held on Saturday 23rd May at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
More than 37 contestants will be launched in the Teens, Kings and Queen Categories for this year’s festival. There are 12 Queen Contestants, 13 King Contestants and 12 Teen Contestants vying for the 2015 festival crowns.
These contestants have been successfully selected after numerous interviews and weeks of training and the launch will provide them with the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for some of Fiji’s leading organisations and corporate bodies.
Upon becoming a brand ambassador for an organization the Hibiscus Festival will provide a stage of which to catapult the profiles of both the contestant and the sponsor across Fiji and the Pacific through our media and marketing platforms.
As it has always been the launch of the Hibiscus Contestants only marks the commencement of the build-up toward the week of Fiji’s and the South Pacific’s most premier festival. The preparatory works include the selection of judges for each of the contestants’ categories, the judges for other competitions including the Kaila! Starsearch, the programme for our Business House Sports, theme nights, baby show, Bula march and floats procession. Organisations will also have the opportunity to sponsor some of our programmes.
As announced earlier this year the theme for 2015 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus is “Climate Change – Communities adapting from the Ridge to the Reef”. The Hibiscus Events Group Inc. (HEGI) hopes to bring the much needed urgent attention to this ever escalating global problem that directly impacts our lives especially here in the Pacific. Throughout 2015, HEGI will continue to create awareness around this theme that was the focus of the Small Islands Developing States Conference in Samoa in 2014. Everyone needs to collaborate their efforts behind this cause and we want to champion this through the Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus festival.
The Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus 2015 will be held at the Carpenters Suva City Foreshore from the 14th to 22nd of August.
HEGI is inviting organisations and agencies willing to sponsor a contestant or to be part of this very worthy and rewarding course to contact the Hibiscus Events Group Inc. on 3311168 or email anjanar@hibiscusfiji.com
