Members of the public are being advised to be mindful of their actions and to avoid taking the law into their own hands. My advice follows an incident where two men were allegedly assaulted by a group of people following a fatal accident in Delaidamanu last week.
While I do sympathize with the pain and suffering caused by losing a loved one, this does not however excuse one’s actions if they chose to hurt or take whatever form of revenge for their loss against any individual. This is unacceptable behavior and those found involved will also face the full brunt of the law.
Everyone must allow Police to conduct a fair and thorough investigation so that the accused is brought to justice through the proper channels.
