The fifth round of the Suva Cricket league was played last Saturday the 31st of January. Komo took on Moce 2 in this rounds perpetual trophy match while Army, Punjabi, Yadrana and the BSP Titans all played respective matches looking to gain ground on the newly appointed ladder leaders. Komo recorded a big win, taking away 19.5 points for the round while Army and BSP overcame Yadrana and Punjabi in strong fashion consolidating their place near the top of the ladder.
VICC took on the newly promoted Covenant Brothers in a bottom of the table clash but were too strong for the boys in blue chasing down the total with wickets to spare.
This leaves Komo still in-front on 73.5 points, with the BSP Titans and Army close behind on 63.5 and 62.5 points respectively. Next up is Yadrana who recorded their second loss in two weeks on 55.5 points, Moce 2 (53), Punjabi (47), VICC (37.5) and Covenant Brothers (30.5).
