Police raise concerns of drunk and disorderly people
Concerns have been raised regarding the issue of people being drunk and disorderly in the early hours of the morning especially after the closure of popular nightspots.
As a result Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald has directed his officers enforce the Minor Offences Act and take the necessary steps against those found drunk and disorderly and consuming alcohol in public places.
Operations on the ground will be monitoring this issue, particularly as we enter the festive season as there tends to be an increase in reports of this nature from around the divisions.
