Odd showers were experienced over the west this past week with some modest accumulations reported. The predominant feature was a cloud band associated with the SPCZ, which resulted in isolated afternoon and evening showers. Monasavu reported a weekly accumulation of 159mm while the Penang Mill and Nacocolevu reported in the excess of 30mm.
The start of this week saw some gusty trade winds making its way over the entire region.
Generally a fine weekend ahead with isolated afternoon and evening showers. No sign of any significant rain bearing weather systems affecting the west of Fiji at this time. Fire danger remains high in the west.
