Tailevu Naitasiri will feature in the Super Premier division at the 2014 Courts Inter District Championship next month.
Bob Kumar, the Fiji Football Association chief executive officer confirmed this as the pool draws for the IDC takes place this Saturday 11am at the Courts Samabula branch.
“Following the conclusion of the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna Premier division, we note that Tailevu Naitasiri has been promoted to the Super Premier division,” Kumar said.
“Therefore in keeping with the practice adopted last year where the two teams demoted featured in the premier division at the IDC, I would like to confirm that Tailevu Naitasiri will participate in the Super Premier division in the Courts IDC 2014.”
Viti Levu zone champion Tailevu beat Savusavu in a home and away series to be promoted.
Kumar says Tailevu Naitasiri will replace the demoted super premier side that will be known next weekend when the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League concludes.
“It is however not yet decided which team will be relegated, hence we are not able to announce the name of the team that will be relegated after the national league. Out of the three teams (Lautoka, Navua and Nadroga) one of them will be relegated and feature in the premier division at the IDC,” Kumar said.
The Courts IDC will be played from October 8–12, 2014 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
