The Central Police Wives Association today received a boost ahead of the Fiji Police Wives Tournament in Lautoka next month.
The Fiji Police wives tournament is an annual event whereby the five divisions battle it out for top honours in the sport of netball and volleyball.
As the event will be held in the Western Division, the $500 assistance handed over by Wesram Finance will go towards covering some of the Central Police Wives travel expenses.
Wesram Finance Manager Ashwini Singh said it was an honor to assist the Central Police Wives Association.
“We are glad to work with Police and assist them in any way we can and we hope the Central Police Wives will do well and bring back both the Netball and Volleyball title next month,” said Ms Singh.
On hand to receive the donation Officer in Charge of the Central Command Centre ASP Iliesa Bolabiu says the money will boost their wives preparations towards the upcoming annual tournament.
“This is one time where our wives can take time out from their everyday activities and enjoy a day of sports with Police wives from around the country” said ASP Bolabiu.
He adds the assistance from Wesram will enable their wives to focus more on training for the upcoming tournament.
