Tuesday 12th August 2014 – A medical student of Suva, Neha Nikita was elated after taking out the second prize of $9,000.00 cash in Digicel’s Pacific Pro Race texting game. Tonga’s Fateki Havili won the game and pocketed $18,000. There was a total of $30,000 cash given out in prizes in the month-long SMS game run in July.

Ms. Nikita received her prize from Digicel Fiji Chief Financial Officer, Farid Mohammed in Suva this morning.
“I’m proud to announce that Neha Nikita was ranked second in the Pacific Pro Race SMS Game and I am delighted to hand $9,000 cash to her,” said Mr. Skelton.
“This was the second regional texting game promotion which Digicel organized in partnership with MobiMedia, the first one saw a local win the Regional Pro Fishing Game in last February. The game was the biggest player-on-player SMS Game in the Pacific.”
“We will work with MobiMedia and come up ideas for more SMS games in the future. This clearly shows our commitment to our customers not just here in Fiji but in the Pacific,” added Mohammed.
Ms. Nikita was happy to land the second prize in the Pacific Pro Race SMS Game, which also included players from Vanuatu, Tonga and Nauru.
“I spent over $2,000.00 for top up while playing this game and I’m so happy to have won the second prize,” commented Ms. Nikita.

Nikita is a fourth and final year student in Medical Lab at the Fiji School of Medicine.
Digicel customers in Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga and Nauru took part in the second regional texting competition. The game had players racing against each other in a Pacific scavenger hunt. The players had to make specific stops where they were required to complete different challenges to gather clues and points which helped them move forward in the game.
Subscribers had to text RACE to 204 to receive instructions on the game format and challenges. Each text cost 50cents.
