Telecom Fiji Limited in collaboration with the Tamavua Pathfinder Club will be working towards giving something back to the community. The TFL Team and around fifty members of the Tamavua Pathfinder Club have taken up the initiative of cleaning the Suva foreshore area.
The long weekend will see many picnickers around the spot on the three days; this event is to clean up the area which will aid in beautifying the prominent picnic spot. The Suva City Council will provide assistance by offering garbage bags and has encouraged this community service.
Telecom Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mothilal DeSilva says, “It’s important that we undertake such initiatives as it provides us an opportunity to set examples for other corporates and the community. We hope our efforts will inspire the children in keeping a Clean Fiji and encourage further community work.”
He added on to say, “We are thankful to the Tamavua Pathfinder Club for contacting us and allowing us to be a part of their initiative”.
Telecom Fiji Limited, has lent its support to the Club by providing free T-Shirts, bottled water, refreshments and arranging logistics with the Suva City Council.
This community service is not just limited to TFL and the Club; you are welcome to spare two hours of your Easter Monday and join the team at the My Picnic Park, Nasese to carry out this activity.
Let’s work together and ensure that we have a cleaner and safer environment for our children.
