The Water Authority of Fiji advises its customers residing in parts of Ba/Tavua areas that they will be experiencing water disruptions from this morning until further notice.
This is due to unplanned power shutdown last night.
The following areas are affected:
Tavua Areas
– Malele
– Masimasi
– Parts of Balata
– And parts of Yaladro.
Ba Areas
– Vunisamaloa
– Vaqia
– Tavoro lane
– Rarawai
– Namada
– Veisaru
– Navoli
– Waivuka
– Valele
– Clopcort
Supply is expected to normalise when the power is restored. However, water cart trucks will be available to serve the affected customers.
Customers are advised to store and use water wisely.
The Authority regrets any inconvenience caused.
Water Disruptions in Parts of Suva
The Water Authority of Fiji advises its customers residing in parts of Suva Area that they will be experiencing water disruptions due to the unplanned power shutdown last night (10/3/14).
The following elevated areas will be affected:
– Wairua up to Togalevu, Samabula, Rewa Street, Waimanu Road, Ratu Sukuna Road and part of Muanikau Road.
Supply in these areas is expected to normalise by 8.00pm tonight, March 11.
Meanwhile, the Authority’s Colo-i-Suva pump was also affected by the unplanned power shutdown and the following areas have been affected:
– Forestry Quarters, Forestry Logging School, Toninaiwau Sub-division, Taqairua Settlement and Colo-i-Suva Village.
Supply in these areas is expected to normalise as soon as the Fiji Electricity Authority conducts repair works on its meter.
Customers residing in the affected areas are advised to store and use water wisely.
Water Disruptions in Parts of Deuba
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) advises its customers residing in parts of Deuba, Pacific Harbour that supply will be disrupted today from 10.00am to 3.00pm, March 11.
This is due to breakdown of Deuba headwork.
The following areas are affected:
– Rovadrau
– Waikalou
– Nakaulevu
– Rampur
– Nasasa
– Makosoi
– The Pearl Resort
– Fiji Palm Resort
– Nanuku Resort
– Wainiyabia Village
– Qarasarau Village
– Galoa Village
– And all the nearby areas
Supply is expected to normalise by 4pm. Customers are advised to store water and use it wisely. The Authority regrets any inconvenience caused.
