The Win Big with TFL promotion came to an end on Saturday 8th February, 2014. The major draw featured some great entertainment that drew in more than 300 people at MHCC last Saturday. Entertainments from the VOU Dance group wowed the crowd, while Telecom kept the children occupied with free face painting, candies and much more.
The promotion started two months ago and was made possible through the collaboration of Fiji Airways. Winners were called on the spot and caught by surprise. The major prize winner, Mr. Pramol Basant couldn’t believe it that he had won himself a return airline ticket for two to Hong Kong with $1,000 spending money.
TFL invited all the winners from the Central Division this afternoon and congratulated them over afternoon tea.
Eighty four year old, Mr. Isaac Kumar couldn’t believe that he had won himself an Acer Chromebook. He mentioned, “I was called today and was told that I had won a prize, I didn’t know what it was until now. My granddaughter will use this and will also teach me how to use it. He further added, “I recently celebrated by 84th Birthday and this surprise has come to me as a birthday reward. I would like to thank Telecom Fiji Ltd for such a wonderful birthday present.”
A similar thought was shared by seventy one year old, Mr. Akbar Ali who also won an Acer Chromebook, “this is the first time for me to win anything in my life and I owe this to Telecom, I have been their residential landline customers for years now, and it goes to show that we are recognized as customers and the company is ready to give back something in return”.
The major prize winner felt the same and thought it was a prank, “I couldn’t believe myself, at first I thought someone was playing a joke on us, my wife and I have been married for five and a half years, this prize comes as a vacation and I might make the travel during Hong Kong Sevens. The thousand dollars spending money will be great for shopping. This is the first time for us to win anything and to have won something so big,” said 28 year old Pramol Basant.
CEO Telecom, thanked the winners for choosing their service and congratulated all those from the Western and Northern Division for participating in their promotion. The rest of the winners will be rewarded their prizes before the end of this week.
