Four Fijian soldiers, serving with the UN Disengagement Observer Force on the Golan Heights between Israel and Syria, were involved in a motor accident over the weekend.
The soldiers are part of Number 3 Company of 1FIR under the UNDOF mission.
A TFM armoured vehicle carrying the soldiers overturned resulting in the injury of four soldiers, including the driver. While three of the soldiers sustained minor injuries and were released after treatment, one of the soldiers suffered spinal fracture and is receiving treatment in Israel.
The families of the soldiers have been notified of the accident and further details will be released after a thorough investigation.
